This stoneware, raised relief stein hosts a turn of the century full dressed fire fighter with hose and bugle. Burning buildings are seen in the background. The German expression on the sides is translated to say, God protect the next one called to duty, one for all and all for one. Border decorations include ladders, axes, and helmets. The entire stein is in an antique three tone, cream, brown, and cobalt blue color combination. The lid on the stein is pewter and is marked zinn 95% made in Germany, this is the proper purity for a drinking vessel. The bottom of the stein is incised with the hallmark of the maker Zoller & Born along with "Made In Germany". Zoller & Born was established in 1956 in the Westerwald area of Germany , known for substantial clay deposits and highly qualified potters. Affordably priced.   10 " tall , 0.5 liter holds 17 oz.
