Did you know that your traditional mechanical cuckoo clock movement operates continuously day and night on less than 1/4 drop of oil? The steel pivots turn in the brass plates and as they collect dust and experience wear, the oil will gradually to degrade. The clock will lose its lubricating ability and your beloved cuckoo will likely stop running. If you want to keep your clock in top running condition we recommend having it cleaned and oiled at least every eight years. |
